An Explanation Of The Chinese Dream Dictionary
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009    Subscribe To Our FeedWhen a person wakes from their slumber it is not unknown that a friend or family member will ask this person whether they have had a visit from Grandmaster Zhou to talk things through. You may be wondering why this is? Well I will explain to you today this and other facts about the Chinese dream dictionary.
The grandmaster Zhou is known as Zhou Gong also, he lived 3000 years ago roughly. His name has carried this far through history because he was the man who write the first Chinese dream dictionary. When it was first created it was called the book of auspicious and inauspicious dreams. The way legend tells it is the grandmaster zhou created another great book by the name of Yi Qing. This is the reason why many people who are native to China will ask when you wake if you have had a visit from Grandmaster Zhou.
Within a book called the Chinese Almanac is an extract of the Zhou Gong book. Many people who have a Chinese origin keep this book in their house. Many people use this book as a reference after someone has a dream that they can remember after they have woken. This book is especially useful if the dream could be seen as strange with no obvious meaning.
The Chinese almanac has 7 categories which each represent different things that you may dream about, they cover whether the dream is about family and many other things too, but there are things that won’t fit into the 6 categories so there is a 7th that everything else is under and that is called miscellaneous. No matter what you will dream about, it is all within this book and you will be able to find a meaning behind it.
The logic of the dream interpretations can seem like common sense although this is not always the case. Dreams that would come under this category would be things like eating meat that has been cooked rather than eating meat that is raw would be a sign of luck.
Of the dreams that don’t seem to make sense or in your eyes could not possibly have a meaning that would be relevant to your waking hours would be the one where you may have a dream about a blue snake. This would also be deemed to bring you luck, where as if you dreamed of sharing an umbrella with someone this could mean that you are about to fall out with or separate from someone.
The interpretations of some are humorous as you will see if you think of the one where if you dream of marriage to your partner this will indicate a separation, and that if you dream of your lady carrying a child it would signify that she is being unfaithful to you.
Taking all of the dream indications to heart could mean that you come to the wrong conclusion about something which is why you should not take any of the readings too seriously, especially if it is to do with any relationship.
In the emperors’ medicine classic and which is over 4000 years old the meaning of dreams was used with other kinds of methods to determine medical problems within a patient.
One example of such a diagnosis would be that if someone was to have a dream that had made them frightened or even upset them it would mean that the persons bosy was suffering from an imbalance. If a person was to dream they were falling then this would point out that the top part of the body was lacking in something, where as the bottom of the body would have too much of something.
This may not be your interpretation but this is how a dream is interpreted according to the Chinese dream dictionary.
